On 23–27 September 2024, the 10th Russian Forum Microelectronics 2024 was held at Sirius University (Federal Territory of Sirius), which gathered over 3,300 participants. This year the forum also had a significant telecommunications component.
Interference immunity of biorthogonal M-dimensional signal design in Gaussian channel DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.123.7.60.65
The choice of modulation type for radio systems intended for operation in absence of strict limitations to the occupied frequency range is considered. For such systems the use of multi-position frequency shift keying (M-FSK), which has high energy efficiency and low value of the radiated signal peak factor is proposed. An analysis of the fundamental features of M-FSK manipulation, which has high energy efficiency, is presented. The results of modelling of transmission channel noise immunity for different values of modulation index and multiplicity, as well as the corresponding spectral characteristics are presented. Recommendations on improving of systems with M-FSK are developed.

Optical and transmission characteristics of multimode optical fibers and cables for local communication lines DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.123.7.42.50
The characteristics of multimode telecommunication optical fibers of categories OM1-OM5, which have found wide application in the world as a part of structured cable systems, data centres, local networks as a cost-effective transmission medium, are considered. Special attention is paid to optical and transmission characteristics, standardisation issues, necessity of correct understanding of characteristics and terms related to the capacity of multimode fibers, including short transmission distances in the order of hundreds of metres.

This series of papers presents international industry standards for 400G open line interfaces with interchangeable coherent optical transceiver modules (transceivers) for OTN/DWDM transport fiber optic transmission systems (Part 1), evolution of generations of coherent digital signal processors (DSPs) for high-speed optical channels (wavelengths) in FOTS (Part 2), and evolution of technologies for manufacturing coherent DSPs for FOTS (Part 3).
Simulation modeling of a voice services of a multiservice communication network DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.123.7.72.77
Aspects of full-scale modeling of the voice information transmission service of a multi-service packet switching communication network are considered, recommendations for obtaining practical results are given and a service simulation model is formed in the OMNeT++ discrete event modeling environment using the INET module in the descriptive language of describing the topology of the NED network, for which multifactor computational experiments were performed and an upper estimate of the accuracy of the obtained results was obtained, which is ±2%. Proposed model of voice information transfer service can be used to assess quality of provision of this service in multiservice communication network with obligatory control of compliance of model values of basic characteristics of service with values obtained during simulation.
