Estimate future traffic from 5G network services The article examines business models and business scenarios of services that are standardized by ITU and the 3GPP Partner Project and determine the formation of traffic in fifth-generation communication networks (5G). The differences between the deployment scenarios of the 5G networks proposed by ITU and 3GPP, formulated in Release 15 (phase 1 of 5G development), which affect the amount of predicted traffic, are shown. Estimates of traffic density per sq. km are presented for key 5G business scenarios: eMBB ultra-wideband video content and ultra-reliable communications services with minimal uRLLC latency.

Ways of practical implementation of concept of vague computing The article discusses possible ways of practical implementation of the concept of vague computing, taking into account the existing level of development of the country’s telecommunications system. It is proposed to develop a layout that includes hardware and software tools that will allow to formulate a number of important principles for the use of vague calculations. Attention is focused on the importance of using domestic developments in order to minimize the risk caused by information security issues.

Comparative analysis of electrical characteristics of railway communication cables Cheap low-quality railway communication cables have recently appeared on the Russian market. Their use leads to a significant reduction in transmission characteristics and the mutual influence of communication lines and violation of the requirements of domestic regulatory documents. The article presents a comparative analysis of the main electrical characteristics of symmetrical railway cables with film-porous-film and tubular polyethylene insulation of copper wires with a diameter of 1.05 mm.

ICT market: struggle for souls For more than 20 years, one important question has stirred the minds of all those involved in the ICT market: should service providers pay telecom operators to use their infrastructure, or should operators develop their own ICT infrastructure following the growth of content providers traffic? Or, otherwise, what is more important in the ICT world: "pipes" and their " plumbers", or "music" flowing through them with its "musicians"? All of this flowed out of sight of the consumer, who, by and large, does not care who pays whom – if only at the end of the "pipe" there was more "music" at a cheaper price. So it was at first.

Record of Russian developers of DWDM equipment On December 17, 2018, the Moscow T8 company conducted a public experiment, in which signal transmission was demonstrated at a speed of 200 Gbit/s on a single carrier over a distance of 520 km in a single span. The transfer was carried out with the help of serial equipment of the Volga DWDM system produced by T8 using optical fiber, in particular, of the new G.654.E standard.

Threats of internet of things and possible methods of protection A global network, in which the main participants in the data exchange are not people, but machines, harbors not only the same threats as the "ordinary" Internet, but also a number of new ones. In order for the IoT world to become truly safe, you need to make not separate devices safe, but all ecosystems and their interaction with each other as a whole.
