THE PROGRESS OF DIGITALIZATION OF PUBLIC SERVICES WAS DISCUSSED IN KALUGA On August 10-11, the Digital Evolution Forum was held in Kaluga for the third time under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, bringing together about 700 participants from all 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
IMMITATION MODEL OF TWO RADIOLINES WITH DIAGRAM FORMATION BASED ON POSITIONING IN 5G NETWORKS The actual scientific problem in communication networks of the fifth and subsequent generations is the effective organization of simultaneous operation of a set of directional radio lines at ultra-dense distribution of devices. One of the solutions is the concept of Location Aware Beamforming (LAB). The present study is devoted to description of a model of two radio links where the antenna pattern control at fixed base stations is performed in a basis of current location of mobile user devices. The simulation results show that both territorial and angular separation of user devices should be taken into account when implementing the LAB concept.
EVOLUTION OF PLUGS OF MODULAR CABLE CONNECTORS The role of modular connector (which in mass practice is not quite correctly called RJ45) as the main type of connector of "twisted pair" cable lines of structured cabling systems (SCS) is shown. The main ways to improve both those technical parameters of its plug, which directly determine quality of information transmission, and improve the operational characteristics of the product as a whole are presented. The mutual independence of separate directions of characteristics improvement is noted and possibility of their joint use is pointed out.
MATCHING BUSINESS MODELS OF NETWORK SHARING AND OUTSOURCING IN THE USE OF FOCLS The economic aspects of combining two business models: Network Sharing and Outsourcing are considered. The object of the study is a fiber-optic communication line. Net Present Value (NPV) is proposed as a criterion for assessing economic efficiency. Analytical expressions, their analysis and calculation results are presented.
FALSIFIED REALITY Nowadays, thanks to IT, information influence on citizens has become ubiquitous. There appeared both raptures about information freedom and dubious concepts like "digital concentration camp".
EVOLUTION OF SOLUTIONS WITH ERROR DETECTION AND CORRECTION IN OTN/DWDM OPTICAL CHANNELS. PART 1. OPTICAL CHANNEL MONITORING AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA FOR ERROR CORRECTING CODES This series of publications presents methods of optical channel monitoring using two main parameters (optical signal-to-noise ratio OSNR and Q-factor) and performance criteria of error detection and correction codes (part 1), evolution of generations and compatible Forward Error Correction (FEC) algorithms, as well as linear pluggable optical transceiver modules with FEC functionality (part 2).
EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF THE QUALITY OF FUNCTIONING OF AN ELECTRIC MIXER WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC MELT STIRRER ON A PHYSICAL MODEL Analysis of electromagnetic and thermal fields, namely distribution inside and outside the mixer, their penetration into the melt, is still an urgent task to improve energy efficiency and reliability of these units. The paper allows us
to evaluate the electromagnetic and thermal effects on physical model efficiency of a mixer, which is directly scaled to a real melting and casting unit
(40-60 tons). A physical model of a resistance mixer with electric heaters
and an MHD stirrer is presented along with equipment for measuring temperature, magnetic induction, and power consumption. The operation efficiency in the main modes of operation of the unit due to the use of the MHD-stirrer under natural cooling and closed window conditions is considered. Variants
of operation of the magnetohydrodynamic mixer at different frequencies, influence of their features on distribution of magnetic field in the mixer are analyzed. The optimum frequency for melt stirring in the resistance mixer is determined.
THE DIGITAL SPECTRAL-SPATIAL CHANNEL SWITCHING FLEXIBLE PAYLOAD TECHNOLOGY BASIC CONCEPT The paper is devoted to the Digital Transparent Processor technics principles and the operational functionality for digital spatial-spectral channel switching in satellite telecommunications systems. Two basic principles are being discussed – use of filter banks and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) mechanism. Main applied and functional advantages of the DTP technology are being analyzed.
TELEVISION 3.0. PROSPECTS OF DIGITAL TELEVISION IN 5G MOBILE NETWORKS The emergence of two competing technologies in TV broadcasting market: DVB-T2, which is largely optimized for distribution of linear TV services for fixed reception on external antennas of fixed TV receivers, and 5G Broadcast technology with ability to provide TV services to portable and mobile devices, standardized by the 3GPP Partnership Project, has created a unique competitive environment. 5G Broadcast technology has already been extensively tested in several markets and contexts and is close to actual commercialization. The paper discusses the key technological features and stages of 5G Broadcaststandardization, and analyzes its capabilities in implementing the concept of Television 3.0. and its advantages over linear television.
