FROM PMR TO PMRС: X INTERNATIONAL FORUMPROFCOMM 2023 The X International Forum on Professional Networks and Communication Systems ProfComm 2023, organised by ComNews Information Group, took place in Moscow on November 15. During the event, it was possible to draw a fairly complete view of the networks implementation in our country based on the increasingly in-demand private LTE technology.
ALL-RUSSIAN DIANOV’S CONFERENCE ON FIBER OPTICS In October of every odd-numbered year the capital of the Western Urals, which celebrated its 300th anniversary this year, becomes an indispensable meeting place for leading scientists and specialists in fiber optics. This year the IX All-Russian Conference on Fiber Optics founded on the initiative of an outstanding physicist, long-time director, scientific director and founder of the Scientific Centre for Fiber Optics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Evgeny Mikhailovich Dianov (1936-2019) and has now received the name Dianov’s Conference on Fiber Optics, was held in Perm from 3 to 6 October.
REVIEW OF MOBILE RAILWAY COMMUNICATION METHODS The main options for replacing the obsolete GSM-R (train-to-ground) railway communication technology are considered: 5G mobile networks of FRMCS standard and dedicated networks of railway operators (TSN). The technologies are compared on the basis of implemented projects in the world.
ABOUT THE DOMESTIC INTEGRATED MULTISERVICE PROTECTED RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Advantages of integrated multiservice secure radio communication systems are considered and technological solutions for developing of such domestic radio communication systems with a wide range of applications, including secure transmission of personal data, which is impossible for a foreign manufacturer in lack of certified means.
THEORY AND PRACTICE OF TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT The paper analyses the differences between theoretical concepts and practical implementation of telecommunication systems of various purposes. The rules of conducting applied research taking into account such differences are formulated. Methodological approaches to development of a complex of technical means intended for construction and modifying of telecommunication systems for various purposes taking into account the tasks of import substitution are proposed.
FALSIFIED REALITY. THE END Nowadays, thanks to IT, information influence on citizens has become ubiquitous. There appeared both raptures about information freedom and dubious concepts like "digital extermination camp".
F5G ADVANCED FIXED NETWORKS As to mobile networks, the ETSI ISG F5G research group, which included domestic representatives of PJSC Rostelecom, proposed dividing the fixed networks evolution into five generations F1G-F5G, depending on the services provided and network technologies used. For the promising fifth generation F5G in 2020-2022, the group developed technical specifications that present the basic principles for building future networks: architecture, services, and practical implementation scenarios. Recently, this research group has proposed a number of additions and extensions to the F5G concept, which have been collectively called F5G Advanced. The paper provides a brief overview of the driving forces for the further evolution of F5G networks, an analysis of the basic directions for the development of F5G Advanced networks and new network technologies in the future by 2030.
EVOLUTION OF SOLUTIONS WITH ERROR DETECTION AND CORRECTION IN OTN/DWDM OPTICAL CHANNELS PART 2. GENERATIONAL EVOLUTION AND FEC COMPATIBLE ALGORITHMS
This series of publications presents methods of optical channel monitoring using two main parameters (optical signal-to-noise ratio OSNR and Q-factor) and performance criteria of error detection and correction codes (part 1), evolution of generations and Forward Error Correction (FEC) compatible algorithms, as well as linear pluggable optical transceiver modules with FEC functionality (part 2).
