TASKS OF THE PERSPECTIVE SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PROFESSIONAL MOBILE RADIO COMMUNICATION DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.36.45
Operational systems of professional mobile radio (PMR)communication are obsolete, as they do not meet a number of modern requirements of potential users. In order to develop a promising system of PMR communication, a number of complex tasks interrelated with each other arise. In the paper three tasks of this kind are considered. Firstly, it is necessary to form appropriate conceptual provisions, providing stage-by-stage development of the system of professional mobile radio communication. Secondly, based on the proposed concept, it is necessary to choose the optimal standard for realization of the necessary technical means. Thirdly, such a set of basic functions of the prospective system of professional mobile radio communication should be developed, which will allow to solve the tasks relevant for all potential users.
ROUTING IN CLUSTERED UAV ROE USINGGENETIC ALGORITHM DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.46.52
Thisstudy is devoted to the problem of routing data received from a ground-based wireless sensor network through a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to a base station. Genetic methods are used to develop a fast and robust static and dynamic routing algorithm. The data routing algorithm provides simulation in a three-dimensional environment of a UAV swarm pre-clustered using the K-means algorithm in the Anaconda environment. The coverage area, radio visibility and UAV location are used as performance metrics.
TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES OF 5E CATEGORY MULTI-PAIR LAN-CABLES MANUFACTURING DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.24.27
The paper considers the manufacturing technology peculiaritiesof 5e categorymulti-pair LAN-cables. Practical recommendations are given on production of multi-pair cables providing fulfillment of norms on electrical characteristics meeting the requirements of 5e category.
INCREASING THE OPERATING RANGE OF A DISTRIBUTED ACOUSTIC SENSOR USING REMOTELY-PUMPED ERBIUM AMPLIFIER DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.30.35
The possibility of increasing the operating range of Dunay distributed sensor (T8 Sensor production) based on a phase-sensitive coherent pulse reflectometer by installing a remotely-pumped erbium fiber amplifier in a fiber-optic line is studied. The dependences of the backscattering power and the signal-to-noise ratio of the photocurrent on the distance along the fiber were investigated. It is shown that the remotely-pumped erbium amplifier installation in a line makes it possible to increase the sensor operating range by 45 km (from 75 to 120 km).
5G NETWORKS: EVOLUTION TO OPEN FIBER OPTIC OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORKS. PART 2. STANDARDIZATION OF SOLUTIONS FOR OPEN OPTICAL TRANSPORT NETWORKS DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.54.62
When deploying 5G mobile networks on top of existing or newly built optical transport infrastructure, network operators and telecom service providers are interested in implementing open solutions that enable hardware platforms (HPs) and software/operating systems (software/OS) from different vendors to be deployed on the same transport network. This interest is also stimulated by introduction of new, cloud-based, technologies on 5G networks with extensive use of data centers. For open optical transport solutions, vertical (separation of APs and software/OS) and horizontal (functional decomposition of network nodes) disaggregation options are considered. The series of papers presents fully or partially disaggregated solutions (part 1), gives an overview of works on standardization of solutions (part 2) for open optical transport networks.

LEGENDS ABOUT STARLINK TDOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.64.70
he paper presents a review of system, operational and economic indicators of the Starlink satellite communication system. The consideration results of materials about Starlink published in mass media are given, which show that advertized indicators are true only partially and unbiased in-depth analysis of technical solutions adopted in this system is necessary.
TIME DICTATES DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2023.114.6.72.79
In September of the recent year the Popov Central Museum of Communications opened an exhibition "Time Dictates" dedicated to two memorable dates: 100 years since the opening of the Central Radio Laboratory and 95 years since the beginning of industrialization in the Soviet Union. The paper presents information about the Central Radiolaboratory, which is described in the exhibition.
