The VII Annual Conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR-2022) held in Nizhny Novgorod in early summer was the first event of such scale in the country in high technology field after the announcement of sanctions. During the event considerable attention was paid to telecommunications, in particular, on the main conference platform there was a panel discussion "The Future of Russian Communications: Ways of Development", moderated by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.

The scoring system for evaluating telecommunications equipment is to be introduced in Russia following a similar system for radioelectronic products. This is one of the main messages conveyed to the domestic vendors on June 28 by the representatives of two line ministries at the regular conference of the project Russian Electronics, implemented by the business daily "Vedomosti".

Nowadays, the PROTEI Group adhere to the position that all the problems of import substitution in telecommunications must be solved. In this paper we note that it is extremely important not to succumb to "temptation" to find the path of least resistance and the admission of easing measures (parallel imports, reduced requirements for products and registries, "localization" of solutions occurring outside the Russian jurisdiction, etc.), which could lead to replacement of one dependence (on Western Europe, USA and Japan) on another (from China).

ALGORITHM OF AUTOMATIC SAFETY SWITCHING IN FOCL LINEAR PATH BACKUP DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2022.105.5.38.42
We propose an algorithm of automatic protective switching when backup the linear tract of fiber optic communication lines. The protective switching time is reduced to 10 ms. The proposed algorithm allows timely warning of the main channel degradation and performing fast switching to the backup channel before the FEC limit is reached. Fast switching allows minimizing the transmitted data loss.
