SVIAZ EXHIBITION IS CATCHING ON IN A BIG WAY DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.18.25
At the end of April, the Russian Week of High Technologies (RWHT), the largest congress and exhibition project in the info-communications industry, was once again held in Expocentre, the capital’s Fairgrounds. Along with the anchor event − the 36th International Exhibition "Information and Communication Technologies" ("Sviaz-2024") − a whole range of forums, conferences and seminars in telecommunications, IT, navigation and telematics. The RWHT project is included in the "Designing the Future" initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology announced in 2022 by President Vladimir Putin.

MODELS OF SPATIAL SELECTION WITH DIAGRAMMING BASED ON POSITIONING IN 5G NETWORKS. PART 1. BEAMFORMING CONTROL DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.34.41
The present work opens the cycle of researches devoted to spatial selection of devices of ultra-dense radio access networks at diagramming on the basis of positioning. In the first part of the study, the problem of modelling the location-based beamforming control procedures is considered. The simulation modelling resultsallow to scientifically justify the requirements to the dimensionality of antenna arrays on base stations at the given error of mobile devices coordinates estimations.

REALISATION OF THE FRONTHAUL SEGMENT OF 4G/5G NETWORKS BASED ON TSN TECHNOLOGY DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.42.50
A distinctive feature of the centralized radio access architecture in 4G/5G mobile networks is its division into a number of functional blocks that interact with each other through the corresponding segments of the xHaul transport network. One of these segments, the Fronthaul, connects via CPRI/eCPRI interfaces the radio unit with the control unit that performs baseband processing. Traditionally, the Fronthaul segment has been implemented using fiber optic cables and providing point-to-point connections. In recent years, due to the rapid development of promising applications there has been an urgent need for the transmission of various types of information over mobile networks traffic that places strict demands on network characteristics. For constructing the Fronthaul transport segment was proposed to use a modified version of standard Ethernet technology − time-sensitive networks TSN, which transmitting various types of traffic while maintaining strict quality of service guarantees. Requirements for the characteristics of a Fronthaul segment based on a TSN Ethernet bridge network and the principles of its construction are described in the IEEE 802.1CM standard. The article provides a brief overview of the materials of this standard, as well as an analysis of the possibilities of its use in the practical implementation of CPRI/eCPRI interfaces in 4G/5G networks.

WAITING FOR THE INTERNET FROM RUSSIA DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.64.69
Born at the end of the 20th century in the United States under the patronage of Pentagon, the Network of Networks took over the planet, becoming the basic telecom infrastructure on top of which the entire "digital universe" is finished today. However, from its birth, Internet technologies were not without flaws, as warned by the founding fathers of the modern Internet, David Clarke, Timothy Burnes-Lee and others. The Internet faces problems in supporting all scenarios of its use, congestion management, mobility, security, quality of service, inter-domain routing, etc., which is why there are Future Internet projects in many countries. Accordingly, in many countries there are Future Internet projects aimed at defeating the mentioned shortcomings. However, in Russia, which is actively engaged in import substitution, such projects are not heard of despite the potentially serious risks for the functioning of the "digital" state.

PROSPECTS OF SCS SINGLE-PORT SOCKETS APPLICATION DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.26.31
The possibility of application of single-port information sockets at construction of structured cable systems is considered. Economic aspects of using such a solution are discussed, its technical feasibility is substantiated and the increasing role of adapters in transition to such a scheme is demonstrated. It is concluded that it is possible to start mass application of single-port sockets in projects in the medium term − after 2035.

OBJECTIVE METHOD OF TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT SELECTION DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2024.119.3.58.62
A method is proposed which allows to objectively rank telecommunication equipment by minimising errors which are inherent in experts’ evaluations. The rules of detailing of numerical indicators evaluating the same types of equipment are formulated. A numerical example of application of the proposed method for telecommunication equipment selection is presented. The directions of further research are discussed.
