The Army International Military-Technical Forum, organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense, has celebrated its fifth anniversary this year. The VI Forum "Army-2020" was held 14 months after the previous one – on August 23-30, its central events were held at three traditional sites in the Moscow region: the Patriot-Expo convention and exhibition center, at the Alabino training ground (land and water demonstration clusters) and the Kubinka airfield. In addition, part of the demonstration shows took place at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region. The main distinguishing feature of the 2020 Forum was its joint holding with the International Army Games.

STUDY OF POTENTIAL ACCURACY CHARACTERISTICS OF SMALL-BASE SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTED BY TRIANGULATION METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COORDINATES OF RADIO RADIATION SOURCES DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2020.91.6.38.43
Determination of the coordinates of radio emission sources is an important task in many areas of mobile communications, radio navigation and radio monitoring technology and comes down to determining the angular direction to the source and the distance to the radio emission source. If the first problem is solved using sufficiently accurate methods, then the second (determining the range) causes difficulties. Various triangulation methods are the main method for determining the distance to a radio source. When constructing a triangulation measuring system, the concept of a base is introduced, which is characterized as the distance between measuring points. High accuracy in measuring the distance to the radio emission source can be ensured only by creating a measuring system with a large base, reaching in some cases several hundred kilometers. The article examines the possibility of constructing low-base systems for determining the coordinates of radio emission sources based on triangulation methods.
LPWAN TECHNOLOGIES AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THEIR ADAPTATION FOR SATELLITE IoT NETWORKS DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2020.91.6.44.53
The technical parameters of the most famous LPWAN technologies are presented. It is noted that the vast majority of LPWAN technologies are proprietary. LoRa technology occupies a special place, which is practically the only open technology. The results of the analysis of the adaptability of LPWAN technologies for use in satellite IoT networks, focused on direct access with terminal sensors, show that LoRa technology is the most promising technology. The article presents graphical data of the relationship between the signal-to-noise ratio and the probability of error per bit, which provide an objective assessment of the budget of subscriber radio links of satellite channels implemented on the basis of LoRa technology.

The documentary fund of the Central Museum of Communications contains materials reflecting various aspects of the inventor’s multifaceted activity. Of great interest is M.Freidenberg’s manuscript "Memoirs of an Inventor", written in 1913. The problems with Russian invention, which he outlined more than a hundred years ago, are in many ways relevant today.
