Fundamentals of non-IP network technology (based on ESTI materials). Part 1. Problems of IP networks and document review

The paper discusses the concept of non IP networks, developed within the framework of ETSI ISG NIN, as one of the key areas of network technology development in the context of the massive Internet of Things, mission-critical applications and fixed-access networks of new generations. Based on the ETSI specifications GR/GS NIN 001–006 and GS NGP 013, the requirements for post IP architectures are systematized, and the basic principles of building user and control planes are highlighted.
