The future of professional radio communications lies in integration DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.32.34
The state needs to be able to communicate seamlessly and securely with authorities at all levels and with strategic enterprises, including the multimedia information exchange. To meet this need, the TRIALINK Group of Companies has proposed to develop the professional wireless communications platform for the benefit of government bodies. The first discussion of this initiative by industry professionals took place during the panel session ‘Prerequisites for creating a professional communications platform for government agencies’, held at the "Sviaz-2026" exhibition.

University quantum networks DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.50.52
It is noted that university quantum networks are a driving force behind the popularisation and implementation of quantum key distribution technology. The benefits of connecting higher education institutions to a quantum network are presented. Brief information is provided on a number of quantum networks at Russian universities.

Fines for failure to implement the system for lawful interception: regulatory developments, current sanctions and real risks DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.40.43
This paper describes recent changes in the regulator’s approach to imposing fines on telecommunications operators for non-compliance with the requirements of the system for lawful interception (LI). The real risks of incurring a fine are examined. The issue of selecting a LI solutions provider is discussed.

Telecommunications optical fibers made of quartz glass: an introduction to geometry and design DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.54.62
The paper provides an overview of typical telecommunication optical fibers, with mentioning of standardized methods identification their geometric characteristics, and provides various examples of fiber cross-section images using an optical microscope and specialized measuring devices. Attention is paid to the most commonly used optical measurement methods and the selection of appropriate equipment. Some individual features of various designs of modern telecommunication fibers are noted, the detailed study of which is often necessary to determine the type, category and the scope of fiber application.

SCS for GPU clusters DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.64.68
The features of the SCS for implementation of the physical layer of a GPU cluster are considered and possibility of its implementation on a standard element base is shown. It is noted that it is necessary to choose such cable system topologies that provide reduced latency, and options for achieving this goal are considered. The prospects of using GPU clusters of optical cables with multi-core and microstructured fibers at the physical level are indicated.

Greetings from Carrington DOI: 10.22184/2070-8963.2026.135.3.72.78
A progressively increasing number of emergencies that require timely notification of all concerned is the main reason for development and continuous modernization of automated alert systems, which serve as the primary working tool for operational duty officers in decision-making centers. The stages of alert system development largely follow the communication systems evolution: from specialized to multiservice, and from analog to digital, as well as the dynamic incorporation of various automated control systems. This not only indicates their technological correlation but also allows them to complement each other in terms of service. The concept behind the development of a modern alert system is for the operator to have a universal terminal, while the alert system should assist them in solving tasks related to the integration and support of various services.
