Application of optical fiber of G.654 category in TEA NEXT project

The information about the choice of optical fiber types for use in the Trans-EurAsian backbone TEA NEXT communication line is presented. Different types of optical fibers of G.654 category and possibilities of their welding with fiber of other categories are considered. The paper tells about setting up the extraction of G.654.E subcategory fiber in Russia.
